| 2008 MUNICIPAL BUDGET The Mayor & Council adopted the 2008 budget in the amount of $24,621,818, a 5.37% increase over last year, after conducting a public hearing on Tuesday, May 13, 2008. The projected 2008 local purpose tax rate is $0.634 per $100 of assessed valuation, or a projected 4.96% increase over the current local rate of $0.604. The final tax rate will be set by the Bergen County Board of Taxation after the County and School budget amounts have been finalized.
