Welcome to the Tenafly Recreation web page. My name is Recky (that's my picture!). I am the Recreation Department Mascot and I would like to tell you about all that we have to offer!

Tenafly Recreation is an accredited agency with the National Recreation and Parks Association (NRPA) as well as the New Jersey Recreation and Parks Association (NJRPA). We are a full-time, high volume recreation department. All residents receive our quarterly brochure by mail, and now it may be viewed online. Residents can download registration forms to mail in, or register online directly at http://register.communitypass.net .

Tenafly Recreation offers a wide variety of instructional programs for all ages and seasonally themed special events. We offer youth sports programs such as Football, Wrestling, Girls Softball, and Travel Basketball. We also hold seasonal sports clinics for grades K - 2 and Start Smart, a nationally acclaimed early childhood sports development program. In addition, we offer a fully licensed, well structured six week summer camp that is filled with fun activities. Our skate park, located at the Roosevelt Common, is open to skateboard and in-line skating enthusiasts of all ages. Throughout the year we also offer special bus trips for: Atlantic City, skiing at Shawnee Mountain, the circus, and much more.

So come on down and involve yourself in youth sports, or relax in a park. Whether you like to play tennis, rollerblade, sew, dance, or cook...

If you would like to get involved, the Tenafly Recreation Board holds its meetings on the 2nd Monday of the month at 7:30 p.m. in Borough Hall. May and June's meetings begin at 8:00 p.m. No meetings scheduled for July and August.
