Registration for the 2010 Girls Softball Season Will Begin on February 1.
Registration will be accepted online and in the Recreation Office.
The Tenafly Recreation Department offers in-town recreational leagues for girls in 2nd through 8th grade. Girls play in three separate divisions, Minors (2nd and 3rd grade), Juniors (4th and 5th grade), and Seniors (6th-8th grade).
Each year teams are selected in late March. Practices begin in early April. The season runs through the middle of June ending in a playoff for the Junior and Senior divisions. Girls play on average two games per week during the season.
The Recreation Department also offers competitive travel play for girls in the 4th - 8th grades. There are three teams, Pee Wee Travel (3rd and 4th grade), the Juniors (5th and 6th grade) and Seniors (7th and 8th grade). Travel teams are a big commitment! Practices are held multiple times per week with games scheduled at least twice per week. All girls participating in the travel program must also be registered for the in-town league.
