Chess Program  

Listed in the seasonal brochure as "Checkmate", the Tenafly Recreation Department offers chess lessons seasonally.  Classes meet once a week for six weeks.  Each lesson is one hour long.  Children have the opportunity to learn all the basics of chess and gain an understanding of game strategy.  Currently the class is being instructed by International Grandmaster Irina Levitina.
