October 11 : Family Hiking Day hosted by Tenafly Recreation. Please click here for full details. October 25: Annual Halloween Parade and Celebration. Join Tenafly Recreation at the Municipal Basketball Courts at 4:00 p.m. as we kick off the Halloween Parade. After a short march through town it's on to the Tenafly Middle School Gym for our costume contest, games, refreshments and the spookiest haunted house in Bergen County! October 27 - 31: Tenafly Recreation hosts it's first annual Halloween Home Decorating Contest! For full details please click here. November: Registration for Jr. Wrestling opens. November 23: Tenafly Recreation's annual Turkey Shoot will be held in the McCandless Room. Join us from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. to test your skills shooting a turkey target with a toy dart gun. All winners will be entered into a raffle for prize turkeys! The raffle is announced at 3:00 p.m. at the conclusion of the shoot. While you're there, enjoy some of our famous turkey shaped cookies! |
