The Borough of Tenafly Police Department is now accepting applications for a full-time Police Officer. All applicants must be New Jersey Police Training Commission certified (PTC). Must be legally permitted to work in the United State, must best available for weekends, and must be a resident of the State of New Jersey. Must be at least 21 years of age. The Borough of Tenafly seeks a part-time Senior Service Program Coordinator in its Senior Services Center Department. The Senior Service Coordinator performs field and related office work involving the operation of a service program for less active older adults. The Coordinator will serve as the point person for the Borough residents. Interested candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school in social work or related field; having a Master’s degree in social work or a Master's degree in a human service field including but not limited to sociology, rehabilitation counseling, and psychology, State certified by the Board of Social Work Examiners as CSW or LSW. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an agency or private practice operating programs relating to elderly people in the fields of social work, public health, social welfare, psychology, or a related field. Note: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master’s degree in any of the previously stated fields of study may be substituted for one year of experience. Position requires demonstrated experience in care management processes. The Borough of Tenafly, Borough Clerk’s Office has an opening for a part-time Administrative Assistant.  Duties may include:  receives applications, documents, forms and fees; screens, sorts and assembles this information for further processing, maintains records and files, provides general, routine information in person and over the telephone, refers inquiries to appropriate staff, assists the Registrar of Vital Statistics by keeping records of births, marriages, deaths, and communicable diseases in the municipality, may issue various municipal licenses. Successful candidates should have the ability to learn website software, the ability to utilize various types of electronic equipment and information systems, be able to provide excellent customer service, have excellent organizational and communication skills. Borough of Tenafly, Department of Recreation is seeking a part-time Recreation Aide (12:30pm-4:30pm) to assists in the organization, promotion, coordination of all recreation programs, activities, youth and adult sports, special events and leisure services. Requires 1 year minimum of experience in Recreation, or community based programming, or camps experience. The Borough of Tenafly (Bergen County) is seeking a full-time Payroll/Tax Clerk. Duties include but are not limited to: billing taxes, posting payments, delinquent notices, processing payroll, pension reporting, deferred compensation plans, garnishments, accruals and various adhoc reporting. Two years municipal tax/payroll experience or three years finance/accounting experience with a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Applicant must have strong math and analytical skills and accounting/finance experience. The Borough of Tenafly is seeking a driver/laborer to work within the Department of Public Works. Responsibilities include but are not limited to manual labor, recycling, road maintenance, sewers, buildings and grounds, vehicle maintenance, grass cutting and snow plowing. Applicants should be prepared to perform duties in all weather conditions and work mandatory overtime. This position is subject to pre-employment and random drug testing.  Applicants must possess a Class “B” CDL (Class “A” preferred). Hours are from 7:00am – 3:00pm, 35 hours per week.
